Our new garden works on
a co-operative model: We grow food together, where everyone contributes their efforts to our large garden from which we will share our harvest with those in need along with everyone who is part of the garden community. Growing in this co-operative model requires cooperation and works well. We can grow large amounts of food with a relatively small number of participants. Beginner gardeners get lots of support in this environment as they are supported by a close-knit group from which they can learn new skills. For those who are pressed for time, this model enables them to work in the garden on a regular schedule, just one day a week. |
