Peggy Clarke, Co-Founder
Rev. Peggy Clarke is a Unitarian Universalist minister serving First Unitarian in Hastings on Hudson. A GreenFaith Fellow since 2009, Rev. Clarke serves on the Executive Committee for her denomination's climate justice initiative as well as the Environmental Justice Collaboratory and the UU Food Justice Ministry. She represented Unitarian Universalism at the United Nations Climate Summit in Paris and has spoken on issues of climate and our food systems at the UN in New York. She lives with her husband and son in Somers, NY. |
Roseann Rutherford, Co-Founder
Roseann Rutherford has been a resident of Northern Westchester for over 30 years. She is a mother to four children spanning two decades. As such she spent more than 15 years as an active member of the PTO, after which time she branched out and became a member of the Junior League of Northern Westchester. It was at this time that she & Peggy met and the idea of InterGenerate was born. Roseann's passion is helping others, finding ways for people to reconnect to one another, and preserving the environment. Her interest in food as medicine combined with a lifelong interest in healthy living encouraged her to find a way to mesh her Marriage and Family Therapy background with Nutrition. She is now a certified integrative and functional nutrition practitioner and has her own private practice at www.feedthewarrior.com. Roseann resides in Katonah with her husband David, their youngest daughter, Annie, and their dog Daisy. |

Suzi Novak, Vice-President
Suzi Novak is the coordinator of the community gardens at InterGenerate. Her lifelong passion for gardening and strong belief in the need for sustainable living inform her work. Suzi supports the garden committees and teaches gardening techniques at each of InterGenerate’s community gardens. She also leads the Neighbors Link Real Food for Real Health subsidized produce market, which allows people who are priced out of other farmers markets to buy fresh local produce at prices they can afford. She is a retired high school teacher and a member of Bedford 2020’s Food and Agriculture Task Force.

Mey Marple, Secretary of Communications
Mey Marple is a photographer documenting the planet and humanity hold onto their wild side. She founded, created and expanded the West Patent Elementary School teaching garden. She serves on then Bedford Central School District Sustainability and Wellness Committees. In addition, she is a board member of InterGenerate, a non-profit food justice organization.
Her work documenting the impact of the Spectra pipeline can be found in her eBook "20 Million New Yorkers at Risk" at www.mey-marple.net.

Stephanie E. Kupferman, General Council
Stephanie E. Kupferman, an environmental lawyer and food justice champion grew up in New York City where she started her career working for Corporation Counsel, attorneys for the City of New York. Stephanie has lived in North Salem, New York for the last 12 years and recently earned her Master’s degree in Environmental Law with honors from Vermont Law School. Stephanie is Of Counsel to the New York Environmental Law & Justice Project in lower Manhattan and is a recent new board member to InterGenerate, also acting as General Counsel. Stephanie also sits on the Advisory Council to Craftsbury Public House and is a Board Member and General Counsel to WHOA (Women and Hombres of Action), a not for profit that mobilizes local adults, teen and kids to act in furtherance of sustainability, democracy and equality for all. |
Jacqueline Mooney O’Brien, Recording Secretary
Jacqueline Mooney O’Brien is Martin's wife, and Joseph and Kevin's mother, all of whom are avid InterGenerate community gardeners and InterGenerate hen co-op participants. An Education for Sustainabilty teacher, with both a master's degree in early childhood/elementary education and a master's in educational psychology, Jackie currently teaches preschool. She is committed to protecting our children's health and environment and providing the next generation with a meaningful education rooted in systems-thinking capacities and nature connections. Jackie and her family are grateful for the opportunities InterGenerate makes possible to grow local. Susan Rubin, Community Garden Network Organizer
Susan is a food and environmental educator and a community garden evangelist who dreams of a county wide network of community gardens. Jacqueline Tavolilla, Treasurer
Jacqueline has resided in Northern Westchester County for over 20 years. She has strong ties to her community and her environment as well as passion for organic gardening and a desire to live a clean and more sustainable lifestyle. Jacqueline believes that that everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic background should have access to clean, organic food. Jacqueline volunteers her time in their giving gardens as well as serves as the communications director for the InterGenerate community garden at Marsh Sanctuary in Mount Kisco. Jacqueline is an avid organic gardener, amateur nature photographer, supporter of the food security movement, and also actively supports the Westchester Food Bank as well. |
